WHen I was a child, we were much less exposed to sex. Today, the average age at which teenagers have sex or are exposed to it, decreases significantly, without understanding the implications - physical and mental, and legal implications of their actions. In the lecture, I do not deal with the psychological consequences of having sex at an early age. We will discuss the legal implications of these actions, and bridge the knowledge gap that exists among most of the youth, between what constitutes a violation of the law, and what is not.
In a lecture tailored to their age, I convey to them the meaning of their actions, the consequences that may ensue, and the harm that lies in them, both for them and for those with whom they come into contact. I found that most of the youth are unaware that some of their actions are illegal, and when we conduct the class discussion, most are surprised that what they perceive as a prank is a criminal offense. The lecture is adapted to grades 9-12, and takes about an hour and a half.
